1. Introduction

These terms govern the use of notarial.app and the Notarial service. By using the site or subscribing, you agree to these terms. The software license (Notarial Commercial Software License Agreement) is a separate document bundled with the installer.

2. The Service

Notarial is a subscription-based desktop application for Romanian notary offices. The website provides information, trial download, and subscription management. The API only handles license validation, machine fingerprinting, and binary distribution. No notary data (cases, clients, documents) is processed by the API.

3. 14-Day Trial

Free, no credit card required. Provides Professional-tier features. After expiry: read-only mode (data accessible, export works). One trial per machine per 365 days.

4. Subscription

Monthly or annual subscription (EUR). 3 tiers: Starter, Professional, Business. Payment processed via Stripe. Automatic renewal unless cancelled. Cancellation: access continues until end of billing period, then read-only mode.

5. Refunds

No refunds for partial billing periods. Cancellation stops future charges, not the current period.

6. Intellectual Property

Software: Notarial Commercial Software License Agreement (bundled with installer). Website content: © 2026 Notarial. All rights reserved. No reverse engineering, redistribution, or unauthorized copying.

7. Limitation of Liability

Software provided "as is". Not liable for data loss (backup is the user's responsibility). Not liable for tax calculation errors (estimates only — verify with notary).

8. Changes

Terms may be updated with notice on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

Romanian law. Disputes: courts of Bucharest.
